Oppo A77 gets official with 5.5-inch display, 16MP selfie camera


Popular Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has announced its latest budget smartphone, the camera-centric Oppo A77. It is the successor of A57 and has the same design, camera features and Android Marshmallow based ColorOS 3.0 OS, but gets a bigger display, battery capacity and upgraded RAM and storage.

The Oppo A77 features 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750T processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. 

For photography, there's 13MP f/2.2 rear camera with PDAF and dual-LED flash. On the front it has 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera. It comes with the latest Beautify 4.0 version that features background blue function, allowing users to easily create depth effect.

In terms of connectivity the device supports dual-SIMs, 4G LTE, WiFI, Bluetooth and GPS. It is fueled by 3200mAh battery. Even though it packs a bigger battery, it has a thickness of just 7.3mm and weighs 153g, and sports a metal unibody design. There's also a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.

The Oppo A77 is priced at NT$ 10,990 ($364 | Rs. 23,600) and will be available in Taiwan starting May 26 in Gold and Rose Gold colors.
