Huawei is adding a new member to its budget Y 2017 line up in the form of Y7 Prime. The company's latest offering has been released in Hong Kong, and is basically a rebranded Enjoy 7 Plus, which was introduced in China back in April.
It can also be seen as the successor of Huawei Y7, with increased RAM and storage (Y7 had 2GB/16GB), and the addition of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
In terms of specifications, the Huawei Y7 Prime features 5.5-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor backed by Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card (via Hybrid dual-SIM tray).
For photography, it gets 12MP f/2.2 rear camera with LED flash and 8MP selfie camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G, VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. A beefy 4000mAh battery runs the show, and the device ships with Android Nougat based EMUI 5.1.
The Huawei Y7 Prime has been priced at HK$1889 ($250 | Rs. 15,500), and is now available through vall in Hong Kong in Gold, Silver and Grey hues.
