Xiaomi forayed into the notebook market back in July last year, with the Mi NoteBook Air. It was equipped with Intel's Skylake processor, and was offered in 13.3-inch (Core i3) and 12.5-inch (Core m3) models. Later that year, a 4G version was released with upgraded processors. Now it appears that the 13.3-inch model is getting another upgrade.
The new upgraded 13-inch Mi NoteBook Air will feature Intel's latest Kaby Lake processor. It will have Intel's 7th-gen 3.1GHz Core i5-7200U chip, and the graphics have also received an update from GTX 940MX to NVIDIA GeFore MX150 (pascal architecture). It will also get a fingerprint reader, embedded in the top-right corner of the trackpad.
Most of the other specs are same as the predecessor. It still has Full HD IPS display, 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB SSD. Other specs include HD webcam, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, USB Type-C charging port, HDMI port, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and fast charging support.
The new 13.3-inch Mi Note Air is expected to be available for pre-order starting June 12, and will carry a price tag of CNY 4999 ($735) for the 128GB storage model, and CNY 5499 ($805) for the 256GB storage model.
