Oppo R11 & R11 Plus goes official with Snapdragon 660, dual-cameras


Oppo has finally introduced the R11 and R11 Plus, the company's latest flagship phone in home-market China. These are the first devices to be powered by Qualcomm's mid-range Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform, that brings some of Snapdragon 820's best features at budget to offer high-end performance. Just like Oppo's previous offerings the Oppo R11, is also a camera-centric smartphone.

The main highlight of Oppo R11 & R11 Plus, is its dual-camera setup, comprising of 16MP Sony IMX398 f/1.7 lens + 20MP f/2.6 sensors with telephoto lens, Qualcomm's Spectra 160 ISP for optical zoom, hybrid auto-focus, dual-tone LED flash and Potrait mode like the iPhone 7 Plus to offer background blurs. For selfies there's 20MP f/2.0 camera at the front.


In terms of specifications, the Oppo R11 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display and comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, that can be expanded via microSD card. It packs 3000mAh battery.

The Oppo R11 Plus on the other hand is a higher spec'd variant of R11, to offer more performance. It comes with a bigger 6-inch Full HD AMOLED display, 6GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage and 4000mAh battery.

Both devices run Android 7.1.1 Nougat based ColorOS 3.1 and supports dual-SIMs, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS + GLONASS. 

Design-wise, the Oppo R11 & R11 Plus sports metal unibody design that comes in Black, Gold and Rose Gold and looks similar to iPhone 7 Plus. The fingerprint sensor, embedded into the home button.

The pricing and availability details will be revealed on June 10.
