Lenovo has hardly launched any new smartphone this year, as it has been focusing more on the Motorola brand. The last phone it launched was the battery-centric P2 in India in January this year (debut at IFA last year). But now it appears that the company is gearing up to launch a new smartphone.
The new smartphone will belong to the popular K Note line, and the company has started teasing the phone with the slogan “The next #KillerNote will be uncaged soon! Gear up to #KillTheOrdinary boundaries of your smartphone.” It could be the successor of K6 Note.
Lenovo is yet to announce a launch data, but according to The Mobile Indian, the new 'K Note' device will launch in the first week of August. Also the details are still a mystery and it is not clear, if Lenovo plans to launch next-gen K Note phone (K7 Note) or upgrade the existing K6 Note.
To recap, the K6 Note features 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, 16MP/8MP cameras, 4G VoLTE, fingerprint scanner and 4000mAh battery. It ships with Android Marshmallow, but is Nougat-ready. Currently it is selling for around Rs. 15,000.
Whatever the new phone is, Lenovo will be pitting against the likes of Xiaomi's Redmi 4 & Redmi Note 4, and Motorola's Moto E4 Plus & G5.
