After Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi is now rolling out MIUI global stable update for the Mi Max 2.
The update is rolling out over the air and weighs in at 1.4GB. If you've not been notified yet, check for it via the Updater app. If you are impatient to try MIUI 9 on your Mi Max 2, you can simply download the zip file from here (link) or just get the OTA zip file (MIUI 8.5.9.0 to 9.0.1.0) from here (link) and flash it manually.
The update brings October security patch along with bug fixes and optimizations to improve the phone's overall performance. It also includes new features like multi-windows support for multi tasking, quick switch, screen recorder, new MIUI video app, new system animation and more. Some of the features are mentioned below:
